Volunteer Opportunities

*All volunteer opportunities are one time commitment unless otherwise specified. 

Meals Program

  • Help to unload and sort food from the Food Bank truck
  • Help to prepare food for the lunch and/or evening meal
  • Help serve food
  • Help clean up after lunch
  • Any additional tasks the supervisor assigns
 

Administration

  • Help with filing and organizing
  • Make phone calls
  • Perform other clerical duties the supervisor assigns
 

GED Prep

  • Tutor adult residents in Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Math
  • Must have a high school diploma
 

KID’s Club

  • Meet with an elementary school student once a week to work on homework, arts and crafts, and develop a relationship
  • Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5pm from October through May
  • THIS IS A WEEKLY COMMITMENT
 

Thrift Store

  • Assist customers
  • Sort/hang clothes
  • Unload donations from the pick-up truck, requires light lifting
  • Stocking shelves
  • Cleaning
  • Any additional tasks the supervisor assigns
 

Landscaping

  • Cutting grass
  • Racking
  • Weeding
  • Painting
  • Any additional tasks the supervisor assigns
